Nicole White (politician) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Nicole White (politician) Nicole White is a Canadian advocate for Indigenous people, an anti-poverty activist and notable as the first openly out provincial political candidate in Saskatchewan history. In 2004, White and (then) Julie Richards (now Jai) spearheaded the case to legalize same sex marriage for the province of Saskatchewan. White and Richards were featured in the documentary short ("Ready to Be Married" ). Directed by (Gemini award winner Anand Ramayya ), this episode was aired as part season one of (Landing ), a series which explores and documents the global cultural metamorphosis taking place with regards to "difference" in various forms. ==Career== White has worked in a variety of community development roles including serving as the (Executive Director of AIDS Saskatoon ), Financial Literacy Coordinator with READ Saskatoon, and as Director of the USSU Pride Centre.
